What Foods Are Rich in Cholesterol?

Emily Butler

Fried foods: Avoid eating fried foods whenever you can. Stick to baked, steamed, broiled, boiled, or poached foods. Thus, instead of French fries, you may eat a baked or sweet potato. Always add some fresh salad or steamed vegetables to your meal.

Meat: Such products as fried chicken, red meat, and bacon should be avoided as they are rich in saturated fats. It's better to choose boiled or baked fish, skinless chick and lean meat.

Whole milk dairy products: It's advised to avoid high-fat milk, cheeses and butter. Instead, you may consume low-fat dairy products, for instance, low-fat milk, cheeses, egg whites, and margarine without cholesterol.

Dessert: Try to consume as few sweets as you can. For dessert you can eat fresh fruit or a sorbet instead of a chocolate souffle.
